Plans for 2,500 homes in Crawley submitted

Plans to build a new neighbourhood of 2,500 homes to the west of Crawley have been submitted.

The majority of the site is within Horsham Council's boundary, which has developed the scheme jointly with Crawley Council.

Plans include building a community centre, library, primary care centre and school, as well as improved rail and road links.

A government inspector approved the West of Bewbush scheme in April 2009.
