A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a police officer was injured at a railway station.

The officer was injured at Farncombe railway station at about 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, Surrey Police said.

A 22-year-old woman from Godalming has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article, police said.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Friday.
