Guildford crash: Woman summonsed for dangerous driving

A woman has been summonsed to court to face dangerous driving charges after seven people were injured by a car which crashed into pedestrians.

Surrey Police said the woman, in her 80s, would face two charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in connection with the crash in Guildford.

A toddler and his baby sister were among those injured outside the Friary Centre on 23 October.

The two-year-old boy was taken to hospital in Guildford.

A one-year-old girl and a man aged in his 60s were airlifted to St George's Hospital, in Tooting, south London.

The woman, who has not been named, is due to appear before Guildford magistrates on 26 July.
