A driver who careered between lanes of the M25 at up to 90 miles per hour while being pursued by police has been banned from driving for two years.

Jonathan Lewis, 44, of Long Walk, Epsom, admitted at a previous Guildford Crown Court hearing to dangerous driving and having no insurance.

The pursuit, between junctions six and 10 in Surrey, took place as commuters drove to work on 11 April.

Police pursued Lewis after his Peugeot crashed with a car on the A25 at Oxted.

Officers followed him along the M25 towards Heathrow before he was stopped on the A3.

Lewis was also given a 13-month community order.
