A skip lorry became stuck after it hit a railway bridge and became "wedged" underneath.

The vehicle hit the structure, in Staines, on Saturday morning, injuring its driver.

Surrey Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at Thames Street at 07:30 GMT to release the vehicle.

The truck has been recovered and the road reopened, police said. Southwest Trains said services were running smoothly after the crash.
