Man charged over M25 woman's death near Staines

A man has been charged following the death of a woman who was hit by a vehicle as she walked along the M25.

Isis Josephine Nixon, 36, was walking near the slip road at junction 13 at Staines-upon-Thames on 11 January when she was hit. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Andrew McArthur, 38, of Dryden in Bracknell, has been charged with drink driving, Surrey Police said.

He is due to appear at North Surrey Magistrates' Court on 15 July.

Updated on 11 January 2016: Mr McArthur subsequently appeared before Guildford magistrates on 18 November when the matter was discontinued.
