Surrey stabbing leaves man with 'life-threatening' injuries

A man suffered "life-threatening" injuries during a stabbing at a house in Surrey.

Police said the victim, aged in his 20s, was attacked in Cranley Road, Guildford at about 20:10 BST on Monday.

He is being treated St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London, where his condition is described as "serious but stable".

Detectives say they are still trying to piece together the circumstances but think it is an isolated incident.

Surrey Police have increased their presence in the area. Officers are also carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

The suspect is described as black, more than 6ft tall and wearing dark clothes and basketball trainers.
