Surrey PC's taxi fare court case dismissed

The case against a Surrey police officer who was accused of obstructing a police officer has dismissed.

PC Gina Patten, 50, was arrested over an alleged dispute over a £16 taxi fare in Godstone High Street in January.

This charge had also been dismissed at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court in May.

PC Patten, from Lingfield, has been suspended by Surrey Police while her case is investigated by the professional standards department, a force spokesman said.
