Four illegal workers arrested in Surrey raids

Four men have been arrested in a shop and takeaway in Surrey after raids by immigration enforcement officers.

Two Indian men, aged 40 and 47, who had overstayed their visas were arrested at Woldingham Village Stores on Wednesday.

A 24-year-old Sri Lankan national and a 26-year-old man from Pakistan were arrested later at Papa John's in Banstead High Street.

The Home Office said both men working in the pizza takeaway were in breach of their visa conditions.

The businesses were served with civil penalty warning notices.
