Two brothers are being sought by police investigating the death of a man found stabbed at a house in Surrey.

Joshua, 22, and Jerome Ellis, 14, were living at the address in Cedar Way, in the Bellfields area of Guildford, where the body was found on Tuesday.

It is understood they were not at the house at the time of the attack on the man, believed to be in his 50s.

A woman, 49, and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being questioned by officers.

The victim, who has not yet been formally identified, and those arrested are believed to have been known to each other.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place later.

'Living rough'

Surrey Police said they were concerned for the brothers' welfare.

Det Ch Insp Mark Preston said it was not known whether the two brothers were still in the local area, but most of their family lived around Guildford.

He said: "I hope they are with family because at least then I can satisfy myself they are safe and well.

"My concern is they are more likely to be living rough."

Mr Preston said officers believed everybody else connected to the address had been accounted for apart from Joshua and Jerome.

He urged the two brothers or anyone with information about them to contact the force.

The area has been cordoned off while officers carry out house-to-house inquiries and forensic examinations.

Mr Preston added: "We anticipate those forensic searches to take at least another two or three days."
