Copthorne party disturbance: Two more teenagers arrested

Two more teenagers have been arrested after police were called to break up a "large-scale disturbance" at a party in Surrey that was advertised online.

The boys, aged 16 and 17 and both from Sussex, are in police custody.

The arrests come after about 150 people - more than anticipated - turned up at the party in Copthorne on Saturday night.

Officers and police dogs dispersed the crowd but had bottles and other missiles thrown at them.

Nobody was seriously injured.

In the latest arrests the 17-year-old, from Crawley, is being held on suspicion of affray.

The 16-year-old, from Brighton, has been detained on suspicion of theft and making a malicious communication.

Two other boys, both aged 17, have been bailed until 9 July.
