Masked raiders target Eashing petrol station

Two masked raiders have targeted a petrol station in Surrey, injuring a member of staff and fleeing with cash.

The intruders used a car, believed to have been a black Ford Mondeo, to ram the front of the BP shop at Eashing Service Station, near Godalming.

They attacked the 20-year-old man on duty and demanded the till contents, which amounted to £50. A cash machine was also stolen, which was empty.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the raid, which happened at 02:30 GMT.

Missing bumper

Surrey Police said the vehicle used left behind a rear bumper.

Det Con James West said it was believed to have come from a black Ford Mondeo, possibly a 1993 to 1996 model.

He appealed for anyone who had seen the car at the time of the offence, or who noticed one with the bumper missing, to contact officers.

He said the cash machine may also have been discarded.
