Former Surrey PCSO Kim Boichat jailed for 16 weeks

A former Surrey police community support officer has been jailed for 16 weeks after pleading guilty to wasting police time.

Kim Boichat, 46, of The Crescent, in Horley, was sentenced by magistrates in Aldershot for claiming she had received harassing letters and text messages.

She had been charged with knowingly making a false report tending to show that an offence had been committed.

Boichat was suspended from duty on 27 July and has since resigned.

Boichat, who was based at Mole Valley, was charged following an investigation by the force's professional standards department.
