Three men quizzed over Christmas Eve assault in Redhill

Three men have been questioned by police investigating an assault on a man in a Surrey town centre.

The man was walking towards the taxi rank in Station Road, Redhill, when he was attacked just before 0130 GMT on Christmas Eve last year.

The 28-year-old suffered cuts and bruises to his nose and hands, and needed stitches to his forehead.

The three men, aged 19, 20 and 21, were arrested by officers on Thursday and later released on bail.
