Woman denies murder of widower in Surrey

A 53-year-old woman has denied the murder of an 82-year-old widower whose body was found in a garden in Surrey.

Ann Browning, of Miltons Crescent, Ockford Ridge, Godalming, is accused of killing Bill Williamson in Godalming between 9 September and 6 October last year.

Ms Browning denied one count of murder during a plea and case management hearing at Guildford Crown Court.

A two-week trial has been scheduled to take place on 23 May.

Mr Williamson, who was last seen alive on 10 September last year, moved to Ockford Ridge in September after selling his home.
