Surrey Police warn about stolen 'toxic' drugs

Police have issued a warning after thieves stole potentially toxic drugs from a veterinary clinic in Camberley.

Officers said an attempted break-in overnight on Saturday was the second time that Phoenix Vets in Portsmouth Road had been targeted.

A week before, thieves stole a large quantity of drugs including ketamine and morphine, which are normally used to tranquilise animals.

Det Con Stuart Pittaway said some of the stolen drugs were toxic.

He said: "It is very important that we establish which drugs are still missing. If this was to fall into the wrong hands, it could have serious consequences."
