Surrey Police quiz women after car crashes in Knaphill


Two women are been questioned by police after a stolen Mercedes was in collision with a car and an estate agent's office in Surrey.

The grey Mercedes estate collided with a grey Mazda, which was at the junction with The Broadway and the High Street, in Knaphill, at about 0540 GMT.

Police said the Mercedes then hit the Mann Countrywide building.

The driver of the car fled the scene. The two women passengers are being held in police custody.

The driver of the Mazda was not injured in the incident.

Officers said the estate car had been stolen in an overnight burglary in Goldsworth Park sometime between 2200 GMT on Wednesday and 0600 GMT on Thursday.
