Police have stepped up patrols in a Surrey village after burglars targeted four homes in four days.

Surrey Police said properties in Hamble Close, Howards Road, Rydens Way and Elmgrove Close in Woking were targeted between Thursday and Sunday.

Intruders forced their way into the properties by forcing open or smashing ground floor windows and doors.

A spokesman said: "We are doing everything we can including increased patrols and additional resources."
