Appeal for jogging doctor who helped Surrey crash woman

The husband of a pregnant woman who lost her baby following a road crash in Surrey has appealed for an off-duty doctor who helped her to come forward.

The woman was injured in a crash involving a Honda she was travelling in and a Mini Cooper on the A23 Brighton Road, Salfords, on Friday.

An off-duty female doctor, who was out jogging, gave her medical help.

Surrey Police said the injured pregnant woman was treated at East Surrey Hospital but her baby died.

Her husband, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "We would welcome any information at all which may help us understand more clearly how this collision occurred.

"I appeal to the lady jogger, and anyone else who was on the A23 on Friday night, to contact Surrey Police."

The driver of the Mini was not injured in the crash.
