Appeal to find Mercedes car stolen from East Molesey

A rare and valuable car has been stolen from a private parking area in Surrey, police have said.

Officers are appealing for help finding the Mercedes SL65 convertible, which was stolen from Graburn Way in East Molesey.

The car went missing between 1830 BST on Thursday 19 August and 0800 BST on Friday 20 August.

The vehicle, which has the registration P111 NND, has grey pearl effect paint work which appears purple in the light.

Det Con Adele Robertson said: "This is an expensive vehicle and it has obviously been deliberately targeted by the offenders rather than a more opportunistic offence as they have gone out of their way to get to the car.

"We have not ruled out the possibility that the offenders may have visited the area in the days leading up to the theft so we would also like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity prior to the offence."
