A man who absconded from an open prison while serving a five-year sentence for robbery and burglary has handed himself in.

David Dalling, 42, went missing from HMP Hollesley Bay, Suffolk, on Friday.

He had been given leave to go to an address in Lambeth, south London, on 16 May and was due to return to the prison on 20 May, but failed to show up.

Suffolk Police said Dalling handed himself in at Ipswich Police Station and he would be returned to prison.
