Ipswich crash: Two women and two children hit by car

Two women and two children have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car while on a pedestrian crossing.

The incident happened in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, shortly after 09:30 BST. The driver of the car was treated for shock at the scene.

Nobody involved in the incident is thought to have life-threatening injuries, the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said.

Suffolk Police said while the road had reopened, traffic remained slow.
