Woolpit lorry crash driver sentenced

A lorry driver has admitted motoring offences after he struck a building and blocked the centre of a village for most of Friday.

Neculai Slabu, 23, of no fixed abode, was arrested after the accident in Woolpit, Suffolk.

He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Ipswich Magistrates sentenced him to one day's detention, fined him £60 and gave him three penalty points.
