Suffolk Police inquiry after Kesgrave care home death

The death of resident at a care home near Ipswich in Suffolk is being investigated by police.

The woman, who was in her 80s, lived at the Alice Grange Care Home in Kesgrave.

Suffolk Police said officers were contacted in November after the woman had fallen.

She died just over a week later from her injuries at Ipswich Hospital. Police said the matter was being investigated to establish if any criminal offences had taken place.

The Alice Grange Care Home said in a statement it offered its deepest condolences to the family.

A spokesman said: "The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our utmost priority and we are working with the relevant authorities to assist in their investigation.

"We respect the privacy of our residents in all matters and can therefore make no further comment at this stage."
