A prisoner serving a sentence for causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault and burglary has absconded from a jail in Suffolk.

Luke Bruce, 29, who has connections in the Cambridgeshire area, was last seen at the Hollesley Bay, near Woodbridge, at 21:30 BST on Friday.

He was found to be missing from the roll check at 23:00 BST, police said.

More than 30 prisoners have escaped from the category D facility in the past two years.

Bruce, about 5ft 10in tall and of medium build, has a tattoo on his right arm of an alien in prison and on his left arm of a devil.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact officers, but said Bruce should not be approached.
