Two men have been charged with production of cannabis and abstraction of electricity after a 13-room alleged cannabis factory was found in Ipswich.

The house in Henley Road was raided on Friday and about 1,500 cannabis plants were found, police said.

Blerim Mema, 21, and Graci Fekolari, 29, both of Henley Road, were remanded in custody by Ipswich magistrates to appear at crown court on 25 February.

Police said the value of the drugs could be as high as £500,000.

Officers spent the weekend removing plants and equipment from the property, a police spokesman said.
