Ipswich attempted murder inquiry: Lianjun Sun pleads not guilty

A 51-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder following a life-threatening assault on a woman in Ipswich.

The victim was found unconscious at a property in Garrick Way in the Castle Hill area on 1 November. She was taken to Ipswich Hospital but is now recovering at home.

Lianjun Sun, of Cromer Road in Ipswich, has appeared at the town's crown court.

He was remanded in custody and his trial is due to begin on 24 March.

The police said no further action was being taken against a 55-year-old man who was also arrested.
