Boy, 11, hit by car 'seriously hurt' in Wickham Market

An 11-year-old boy has been flown to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Suffolk.

The boy was struck on Framlingham Road in Easton, near Wickham Market, at 16:05 BST.

Suffolk Police said it was contacted by the ambulance service and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The boy was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. The road has been closed while inquiries continue.
