An e-fit of a man suspected of attacking a woman with a shard of glass and bleach has been released by police.

The 18-year-old was attacked while walking along Leather Lane, Haverhill, on the morning of 7 January.

The man is said to have pushed her against a fence, scratched her neck and stomach before squirting the liquid into her mouth.

The man is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, aged 40-50, with dark curly hair.

He wore a dark-blue, long-sleeved, hooded top, straight blue denim jeans and trainers. He also wore black fleece gloves and carried a blue shopping bag.

The attacker is said to have been disturbed by a noise, which allowed the woman to escape.

She was seen by her doctor but did not require any further medical attention, police said.
