Man with gun attempts to rob Lowestoft off-licence

A man armed with a handgun attempted to rob an off-licence in Lowestoft.
The man entered Lawson Road Off-Licence, throwing a black bag at a shop worker and demanding money.
When she told him there was no money at the premises, he became agitated and pushed a scratchcard stand off the counter before running out of the shop down Lawson Road towards Clifton Road.
The man had piercing blue eyes and was wearing a dark grey jacket with the hood up and a full-face balaclava.
He was also wearing black gloves, black jogging bottoms and white trainers.
The attempted raid happened at about 21:00 GMT on Saturday.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact Det Con Denise Davey at Lowestoft CID.
