An inquest into the death of a Suffolk pilot will resume after a full investigation into the plane crash.

Gregory Clipstone, 56, of Opal Avenue, Ipswich, was killed when his light aircraft plunged into a pond at Aldham near Hadleigh earlier this month.

The Suffolk coroner has opened and adjourned the inquest in Ipswich.

He said the court would wait for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch report before the hearing reopened.

Mr Clipstone's aircraft hit power lines and a tree before becoming submerged in a pond at Aldham at about 11:20 GMT on 8 December.

He was the only person on board.
