A 28-year-old man has been charged with murdering a woman in Ipswich.

Alison Studd, 36, of Pauline Street, Ipswich, was found critically injured in Withipoll Street, Ipswich, on Wednesday evening.

She died in hospital on Thursday and a post-mortem examination gave blood loss from a leg wound as the cause.

He has also been charged with wounding following an incident in Carr Street on Wednesday afternoon.
