Ipswich murder inquiry starts after injured woman dies

A murder inquiry has begun after a woman found injured at a house in Suffolk died in hospital.

The woman, who was in her 30s, was found critically injured in Withipoll Street, Ipswich, on Wednesday evening. She died in hospital on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination is being carried out, police said. An injured woman in her 20s was found in Carr Street, Ipswich, also on Wednesday.

Three people arrested in relation to the incidents remain in custody.

The two men aged 28 and 29 and a 59-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, before the woman died in hospital.
