Pedestrian, 22, hit by lorry dies in Suffolk hospital

A 22-year-old pedestrian from Essex has died in hospital after being knocked down by a lorry on the A14 in Suffolk.

The accident happened on the A14 at Stratton Hall near Levington east of Ipswich on Saturday evening.

The man, named as Carl Samuel from Dagenham, was taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital where he died.

The A14 eastbound carriageway was shut for several hours while investigators carried out inquiries and diversions were put in place.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information about the accident to contact them.
