Man arrested over shop bomb hoax in Ipswich

A 20-year-old has been arrested and bailed over a bomb hoax which forced a shop in Suffolk to be evacuated for three hours.

Police said an incident happened at the Town Hall/Corn Exchange building in Ipswich at 1430 GMT on Tuesday.

The shop was evacuated and a cordon put in place until 1730 GMT.

A man was arrested on suspicion of communicating false information in relation to a bomb hoax. He has been bailed until 7 December.
