Two charged after £5m heroin discovery at Felixstowe


Two men have been charged with drug offences following the discovery of heroin with a street value of £5m.

About 80kg (12st 8lbs) of heroin was seized by Border Agency officials at Felixstowe port in Suffolk last week.

The UK Border Agency said it was the biggest detection of the Class A drug in the UK this year.

Two men from Birmingham have been charged with importation of Class A drugs and will appear at Telford Magistrates' Court on 23 November.
