Sex attack on girl, 14, in Sudbury

Part of a Suffolk town was being checked by scene of crime officers after a 14-year-old girl told police she had been sexually assaulted.

A report was received late on Sunday that the girl had been attacked in Sudbury at about 2330 BST on Saturday.

The girl was due to be interviewed by officers to establish what happened.

A car park on North Street was cordoned off as investigations took place. Anyone who was in the town at the time was asked to contact police.
