Six flats in Ringland Close were damaged when the blaze broke out at 06:00 BST.

A man was hurt jumping from the first floor. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Temporary accommodation is being sought for residents.

'Shocking'

Neighbour Wayne Evans said he was awoken by banging outside and saw fire crews cutting into the door and window frame to get inside.

"I opened my window and just saw the bottom flat was on fire. It's just shocking.

"Someone told me they were resuscitating one of them as they were taking others to the ambulance."
