Baby girl and boy 'critical' after flats fire in Stoke-on-Trent
Three people, including a six-month-old girl and six-year-old boy, are in a critical condition after a fire at flats in Stoke-on-Trent.
Six flats in Ringland Close were damaged when the blaze broke out at 06:00 BST.
The baby, boy and a woman in her 20s - believed to be their mother - are being treated at Royal Stoke Hospital.
A man was hurt jumping from the first floor. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Temporary accommodation is being sought for residents.
Neighbour Wayne Evans said he was awoken by banging outside and saw fire crews cutting into the door and window frame to get inside.
"I opened my window and just saw the bottom flat was on fire. It's just shocking.
"Someone told me they were resuscitating one of them as they were taking others to the ambulance."
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said all flats had been searched and all occupants were out of the building.
Investigators are working with police to establish how the blaze started.
