Merseyside man jailed for kidnapping and abusing child
A man who admitted kidnapping and committing sexual offences against a child has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
David Wilson, 39, from Seymour Street in Wallasey, Merseyside, will also serve six years on licence and has been issued with a sexual harm prevention order.
He has been placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Wilson was arrested by Merseyside Police officers in his car in May.
Det Insp Simon Caton, from Staffordshire Police's child exploitation team, said officers were still helping the victim to recover from the "horrific incident".
"He is a devious and dangerous man who cleverly groomed a whole family which ultimately allowed him to carry out these terrible acts against a vulnerable child," he said.
