Stoke's Etruria Road flyover closed for maintenance
A flyover on "one of the busiest routes" in Stoke-on-Trent will close for four nights to allow damage to be repaired.
Damage to an expansion joint on the A53 Etruria Road flyover was discovered during a routine inspection in September, a council spokesman said.
The joints absorb movement caused by high traffic volumes, wind and temperature changes.
The flyover will be closed from 13 January, between 20:00 and 06:00 GMT.
Another joint which is reaching "the end of its lifespan" will be replaced at the same time, the council said.
Councillor Ruth Rosenau said: "This is one of the busiest routes in and out of the city and maintenance is essential."
