Stafford Salvation Army building destroyed in arson

A Salvation Army building in Staffordshire has been "completely destroyed" in a fire being treating as arson by police.

Firefighters spent five hours at the blaze on Faraday Road, Stafford, which broke out just after 02:30 BST.

The fire service said a bin next to the building was deliberately set alight. About 30 firefighters tackled the fire.

Station manager Neil Pedersen said: "The building has been completely destroyed."
