Rushall van crash injures girl, 5

A five-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a van.

It is understood the youngster was playing in the street yards from her home when she was struck at the junction of Griffins Crescent and Cartbridge Lane in Rushall.

The driver of the van, a 60-year-old man, is helping police with their inquiries. He has not been arrested.

Sgt Chris Jones said the girl was hit while playing in the street.
