Police say they are "extremely concerned" about the welfare of a 24-year-old Polish woman who has gone missing in Staffordshire.

Officers from Staffordshire Police's major investigation unit are trying to track down Sylwia Ciapcinska, the force said.

She was last seen on 21 July in Ash Street, Burton upon Trent, where she lived.

Ms Ciapcinska had been back in the UK for two weeks before she disappeared.

'Contact police'

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said she had made previous visits to the UK from Poland in the past three years, including to Burton-upon-Trent.

Ms Ciapcinska works at a local distribution company in the Fradley area, he added.

On the day she was last seen, she was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and had been carrying a white and grey shoulder bag.

She is described as being of slim build with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who has seen her or has information about her whereabouts is urged to call Staffordshire Police.
