A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Sheffield on New Year's Eve.
Zabair Hussain, 41, was discovered with multiple injuries in Staniforth Road, Darnall at 23:23 GMT and later died at the scene.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
South Yorkshire Police are continuing to question a 28 year old arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder.
Det Ch Insp Steve Handley said: "We believe Mr Hussain may have been struck by a vehicle when he was injured on Staniforth Road.
"However, the focus of the investigation remains on identifying the men who savagely assaulted Mr Hussain beforehand."
Officers believe a number of men were involved in an assault and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
