Murder accused in court man's attack death in Maltby

A man has appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of a man found attacked at his home near Rotherham.

Paul Sandford, also known as Paul Dyson, was found injured at his home in Littlehey Close, Maltby, at about 01:00 GMT on 30 October.

The 38-year-old died from his injuries in hospital on 4 November.

Adam Goodridge, 30, of Huntington Way, Maltby, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 17 November.

South Yorkshire Police said a 59-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder, had been released on police bail.

Two other people, a man and a woman, both 29, who were arrested as part of the investigation have also been bailed.
