A man has appeared in court charged with wounding in connection with a fatal shooting in South Yorkshire.

Chris Humphreys, 24, from the Handsworth area of Sheffield, was shot with an air rifle at a property on Handsworth Grange Road on 5 May.

He was taken to the Royal Hallamshire hospital where he later died.

Russell Fairchild, 47, of Handsworth Grange Road, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court and was bailed until 9 September.
