A body which was recovered from a reservoir is that of missing Sheffield woman Sally Webster, South Yorkshire Police have said.

Mrs Webster, 48, was reported missing from her home on Laird Avenue, Wadsley, on 20 November.

Her husband and two teenage daughters made an appeal for information after her disappearance.

Mrs Webster's death is not believed to be suspicious. A police spokesman said a coroner's report would be prepared.

Mrs Webster's body was recovered from the reservoir on Friday.

Police said it was the first opportunity for divers to search the water because it had been covered with ice for a number of weeks.

"This has been a complex investigation which has involved a number of police officers since Sally was reported as missing," Supt Andy Male said.

"Our thoughts are with the family at this time."
