South Yorkshire Police are urging motorists to take care on the roads after heavy snowfall.

The force said a number of roads were closed and traffic was slow around the region, as the wintry weather returned on Friday.

Officers said they had been called out to "numerous minor collisions" in the Sheffield and Barnsley areas.

The A57 Snake Pass is closed in both directions and FirstGroup said there were delays to some bus services.
