Plusnet Sheffield expansion creates 250 jobs

Broadband and phone provider Plusnet has switched all of its customer service operations to its headquarters in Sheffield, creating 250 jobs.

It has closed a site in Durban, South Africa, to bring its entire customer support operation to South Yorkshire.

"Whilst we're sad to say goodbye to South Africa, we feel really excited about bringing all our services back to Sheffield," Plusnet said.

Regional development agency Yorkshire Forward put £1.8m towards the move.
