Woman arrested after crash in Sheffield is bailed

A 45-year-old woman who was arrested after a man died during a morning rush hour pile-up has been bailed.

Michael John Selwood, aged 47, from Monk Bretton, Barnsley died after the incident in Westwood New Road, High Green on Wednesday.

Police said a Vauxhall Astra collided with an Audi A3 forcing it into the path of a Lexus car.

A 62-year-old man from Whirlow, Sheffield, also suffered serious chest injuries.

The Astra driver, a 45-year-old woman from Sheffield, was arrested and questioned for causing death by dangerous driving.

She has since been bailed until November, pending further enquiries.
